  34. Go into DPaint (yes DPaint...surely everyone still has this) and
  35. call up a 16-color screen.  Leave color Zero at 0,0,0.  Set the
  36. others in this order:

  38. 12, 12, 12 (80 white)
  39.  
  40. 12, 12, 0 (yellow)
  41.  
  42. 0, 12, 12 (cyan)
  43.  
  44. 0, 12, 0 (green)
  45.  
  46. 12, 0, 12 (magenta)
  47.  
  48. 12, 0, 0 (the red you're looking for)
  49.  
  50. 0, 0, 12 (blue)...
  51.  
  52. You then set up a range and _eliminate_ the dither, and drag out
  53. a rectangle and voila, color bars!
  54.  
  55. This also gives you the palette room to set a 15, 15, 15 chip for
  56. 100 IRE white (peak).
